Poetry. This year's line-up includes artists like Canadian poet, Anne Carson, the interdisciplinary artist, Laurie Anderson, and British poet and writer, Raymond Antrobus, among others.

Taking place from 6 to 13 May is the 28th edition of Barcelona Poesia.

The festival will be offering an action-packed programme of recitals, concerts, routes, homages and performances in more than twenty venues.

The poets Jordi Oriol and Carles Pedragosa will be reading the opening speech, which will mark the start of seven days of verse, homages and international collaborations.

The festival closes on 13 May with La Nit del Palau – 40th Barcelona International Poetry Festival, with the participation of Shota Iatashvili, Lupe Gómez, Márton Simon, Berta García Faet, Ana Blandiana, Adrià Targa and Anne Carson.
