Literature. The programme includes interviews, conversations, an oral literature performance, writing and translation workshops and a literary tour of the Carmel neighbourhood

From 16-20 June, the fourth Barcelona Latin American Literature Festival, KM Amèrica will be taking place, with the participation of 30 authors from different generations, places and literary trends.

Curated by the Mexican writer Eduardo Ruiz Sos, this year’s festival will focus on the cities that make up the literary geography, both real and imaginary, of the Latin American tradition.

The Latin American writes who will be taking part are: Horacio Castellanos Moya (El Salvador), Nona Fernández (Chile), Liliana Colanzi (Bolivia), Gabriela Cabezón Cámara (Argentina), Tamara Silva Bernaschina (Uruguay), Rodrigo Rey Rosa (Guatemala), Brenda Navarro (Mexico), María Negroni (Argentina), Miguel Tapia Alcaraz (Mexico), Sergio Galarza (Peru), Tatiana Salem Levy (Brazil), Franco Chiaravalloti (Argentina), Isabel-Cristina Arenas Sepúlveda (Colombia), Francisco Díaz Klaassen (Chile), Ernesto Escobar Ulloa (Peru) and Luiza Romão (Brazil).

The festival connects these Latin American and Caribbean voices with Catalan literature, through the participation of the Catalan authors, academics and journalists David Aliaga, Max Besora, Berta Creus, Anna María Iglesia, Meri Torras and Juan Vico.
