Traditional festivals. Over fifty activities for people of all ages.
The Festa Major de La Teixonera, in the district of Horta-Guinardó, is being organised jointly with the neighbourhoods of Mas Falcó and Els Penitents in the district of Gràcia.
The programme starts on Sunday, 1 June, with the Vall d'Hebron fun run, a 5 km event organised by the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron.
The opening speech will be delivered in Plaça Vall d’Hebron on Friday, 6 June, by workers from different periods of the Centre Cívic Teixonera, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The 15-day annual festival is set to fill the streets and squares with a variety of activities: concerts, workshops, children’s parties, theatre, a communal paella, an open day at the Vall d’Hebron fire station, a special draw at shops and businesses in La Teixonera, havanera singing and a fire run with the groups of Diables del Carmel, Fúries del Carmel and Diables i Diablesses de la Florida, rounding off two weeks of festivities.
