La Mercè is celebrated this year between September 23 and 28, with performances for all audiences.
A Tuesday and Wednesday with festivities in the streets, a Thursday to rest, and Friday… back to partying until Sunday. That’s how the festive calendar of La Mercè 2025 will work, which begins with the opening speech that will kick off the festival on Tuesday, September 23, and will continue until the final moment: the “Toc a plegar” and the Piromusical that will say goodbye to the festival on Sunday evening. This Mercè, take note, comes loaded with festivities for all kinds of audiences.
This year’s Mercè will highlight the value of material and immaterial heritage, with shows that will celebrate our culture. A cultural major festival to celebrate diversity, interculturality, creativity, and tradition. An occasion to showcase the cultural richness of our city.
You’ll see that, during these days, the city fills with stages that host musical performances, in the center but also in other neighborhoods of Barcelona, and that the large parks, gardens, and public spaces of the city become the epicenter of street arts and circus, transformed into the stage of Mercè Arts de Carrer, one of the festivals that make up La Mercè along with BAM, Música Mercè, and the traditional events that, as usual, have their epicenter in the streets and squares of the Gothic Quarter, but gather fans of popular culture from all the neighborhoods of Barcelona.
